Job requirements

Alongside the head chef, you are responsible for the daily operations. You ensure that all products are in stock and you order in time from the suppliers. The exciting part next to cooking is developing new recipes using the freshest ingredients.


That's why you thoroughly monitor the freshness and shelf life of the inventory. You know the menu inside out, from A to Z. If a guest has a food allergy or other preferences, you adjust the dish without hesitation so the guest can enjoy their meal. That's what gives you a thrill!


You also do the following:

  • You oversee the plating of the dishes, ensuring that everything leaves the kitchen on time and up to standard.

  • You manage the inventory: receiving, calculating, inspecting, and placing orders.

  • You comply with safety protocols, including labor regulations and HACCP guidelines.

  • You enjoy having a drink at the bar with your colleagues after work.


To succeed you are or have:

  • Knowledge of different cooking techniques.

  • Knowledge of how to procure (fresh) products and ingredients.

  • Understanding that kitchen workload can vary, and you handle this well. Peaks are a breeze for you.

  • No problem working evenings and weekends – in fact, you find it enjoyable!

  • Your satisfaction comes from seeing guests leave with full stomachs and smiles.
